A fine forecast for 24 February, so I headed to North Wales and a waterfall that holds a pair of Dipper. Having spent around 20 minutes at the waterfall, I decided to head up the path to the top of the waterfall and see what I could find. Arriving at the top, following the footpath, I then walked along the riverbank and soon saw a Dipper carrying nest material. The Dipper flew to a rocky overhang and flew upwards. I settled down on the side of the river and was soon watching two Dipper coming and going to the nest-site with nesting material. The Dippers were unperturbed by my presence and I sat down with the R6MKII and 400mm f/4 with a 1.x Convertor mounted on my tripod, with the R5 and RF100-500mm close to hand, and spent a very pleasant three hours photographing the Dippers and a pair of Grey Wagtail.
On returning back to the waterfall I saw another pair of Dipper nest building and also a second pair of Grey Wagtails.
With several 100 images taken, it was difficult choosing which to share!!

In addition to the shots of dippers perched, I also upped the ISO to 8,000 and tried a few flight shots.
